We also would like to congratulate Coach Johnson on his work as Head Coach of Beaches Chapel School Lady Lions leading them to their first ever undefeated season of 13-0.
The WBCBL is full of Coaches that volunteer their off time to working with young ladies and that form a positive impact on their lives and show them the true meaning of why they should love and respect the game of basketball. "That is what the WBCBL is about."
Nashville, T.N. – February 26, 2018 – It’s no surprise that Nashville, TN and the Bridgestone Arena will host the 2018 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament from February 28-March 4. The winner of the 11-game tournament will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Music City Icons Professional Women’s Basketball Team has been invited to participate in the 2018 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament by hosting the Downtown Dribble in partnership with the Nashville Sports Council.
The Downtown Dribble is a FREE event for children ages 5-14 years old on March 3rd prior to the games. Kids and family will have the opportunity to dribble a basketball on a pre-determined route around Bridgestone Arena.

Players and Coaches from The Music City Icons will share drills on how to handle the basketball with their left and right hand, tips to improve hand speed and vision. The older kids will learn strategies on how to handle the basketball under pressure.
The Music City Icons Professional Women’s Basketball Team launched their first season in May of 2017 with 10 dynamic women basketball players. The team is a part of the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL). The purpose of the Music City Icons is to provide our players with opportunities beyond basketball and develop players to be prepared to play in the WNBA or on an international basketball team.
