Conyers Rockets Ready for Blast-off

The Conyers Rockets are a new Women's Professional Developmental Basketball Organization out of Conyers, Georgia. The organization gives each individual the opportunity to further their career in women's basketball. This team is owned and coached by Barry E. Robinson II of Augusta, Georgia. He was an assistant coach in the 2012-2013 basketball season for the Atlanta Tarheels and the Atlanta Riverhawks basketball teams in the WBCBL. The Rockets' staff includes general manager Reggie Cummings, who played two seasons at Reinhardt University from 2005-2007 (Led the team in assists and steals). He has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, with a concentration in Marketing. Mr. Cummings also played professional Show Basketball.

The following players have been added to the Conyers Rockets 2016 Basketball Roster: Ashlie Bellingslea, a 5'6 point guard out of Southern Polytechnic State University. In 2011-2012, she lead the SSAC in steals and steals per game, ranked 2nd in total points, 3rd in points per game. She was also SSAC All-Tournament Team, All Conference and WBCA All-American Honorable Mention.

Drameka Griggs, a 5'5 graduate from Clayton State University in 2014. She was a NCAA All-American, Peach Belt Conference 1st Team Selection and Player of the Week (4 times). Scored at least 20 points in 18 games, ranked 4th nationally in steals and 8th in scoring.

Erika Ford, a 5'9 graduate from UGA, who averaged 10.9 ppg, scored season high 27 points at Mississippi State in 2013-2014 season. In 2014-2015 season, scored 20 points against Ole Miss and averaged 15.6 points per game in the last eight regular season games.

Antqunita 'Nett' Reed, 5'8 guard from Blakely, Georgia. A great scoring point guard from the perimeter, with exceptional athletic ability. Reed averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds for Pittsburg State University. She also earned All American Honors and was named Southern Conference Play of the Year.

Also added to the roster is Tia Stovall, who played for Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders from 2002-2006 and also played with the Auburn Flyers in the WBCBL along with Santana Seay. Both were members of the Flyers' 2013 National Champion team.
And last but not least, Ariana Jackson, 6'0 post from West Palm Beach, Florida. Jackson played at East Carolina University and joined the Georgia State staff in August 2014 as a graduate assistant.
