Illinois Shooting Stars New Owner and New Head Coach

The Illinois Shooting Stars are proud to announce that the team is under the new ownership of James Wright. And with this change comes the change of the head coaching position. The new head coach is now Fernando Stevenson.

Coach Stevenson is a native of East St. Louis, Illinois. He starred at East St. Louis Senior High School as a guard and averaged 22 pts. per game during his senior year. After he graduated high school he took his talents to McKendree College. At McKendree he was named Defensive player of the year his senior year. After graduating from McKendree Coach Stevenson has remained with the school as the Assistant coach for the men's basketball team.

Coach Stevenson and owner James Wright will now use their vast knowledge of the sport, talent pool in the area, and marketing to reshape and guide the Illinois Shooting Stars to new heights.
