Charlotte, N.C. -  Charlotte Invasion is more than just a national championship basketball team. This hometown team is focused on mobilizing players to become community resource ambassadors in addition to champions!  The 2016 season will prove to be the most exciting yet as they will embark on new partnerships with organizations throughout Charlotte.  The belief that being a champion is a way of life is integral in the Charlotte Invasion organization.

Charlotte Invasion is still a young franchise, however, they were regular season champs, regional champions, and are the current national champions and are ranked #1 in the nation – ending the season at 15-0.  Charlotte Invasion has 3 players who were drafted to the Euro league; Tiffany Brown – Sweden; Kelsey Harris – Ireland; and in 2014, Lindsey Montgomery – Romania.  In addition, last season the team boasted four players in the top 10 in the region, and one ranked in the top 10 in the nation.  The 2016 season will undoubtedly yield even more accolades and awards for Charlotte Invasion!

On the court, Charlotte Invasion has proven to be the best, but it doesn’t stop there with this team.  Off the court, they have created leadership development opportunities through strategic partnerships with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, The Omar Carter Charity, Mecklenburg Parks and Recreation and the American Cancer Society.  Our purpose to provide educational outreach to athletes, team members and supporters on promoting, achieving and maintaining a healthy heart and lifestyle is further exemplified through our community relations.  The Invasion way is one of community service, encouragement, hard work and dedication.  The bottom line is giving back and bringing hope!

Charlotte Invasion’s season starts on May 14th. We are always looking for talented young women who are looking to take their careers to the next level and help uplift the community.  For more information on sponsorship opportunities or team information, please visit our website at www.charlotteinvasion.com or call our Director of Marketing, Alexis Davis at (919) 673-6736.
