The Flyers Pro Elite are making huge strives in the community. On April 30th at 7:30pm they will be holding a benefit game for a young man named Ayden Frail. Ayden is battling cancer for the second time and the Flyers have dedicated this game to his family and him. Over 30 local business will be donating things to raffle off and the Flyers will be donating 50% of all proceeds to the Frail Family. The Flyers are changing lives one day at a time. The event will be held at Elsberry High School where the Flyers will be playing this 2016 season. Team Owner, Andrea Maine and the Winston Salem Lady Warcats Organization held their Media Day on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Piedmont International University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Ms. Maine introduced the organization's Board Members, Coaching Staff and Players to a very excited crowd of supporters. Entertainment was provided by a very talented Drum Line and local Step Team. It was a very successful event that was well attended by the community including Winston Salem's Mayor, Allen Joines and District Court Judge Camille Banks-Payne
The Georgia Soul Women’s Basketball Organization is excited to offer its first annual (Girls Only) basketball clinic. The clinic is for girls in grades 1st-12th and is free of charge. The clinic will be divided into two sessions, 1st thru 6th graders from 9am-12:30pm and 7th thru 12th graders from 1:30pm-5:00pm. The clinic will be open to 50 female athletes for each session.
The objective of the clinic to provide skills training to female athletes. In addition, we will have a leadership development session that will help improve leadership skills on and off the court. This is an excellent opportunity for female athletes who are interested in learning new skills to improve their game and enhance personal development. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with the Georgia Soul players, coaches, and staff who will be conducting the clinic. Each participant will be provided with a free Georgia Soul t-shirt. At the conclusion of each session the young female athletes will have the opportunity to take pictures with the Georgia Soul team and staff.
