First Annual Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) & Women’s Basketball Showcase (WBBS) Professional Combine and Free Agent Camp
The Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) is the premier professional development basketball league for women. The WBCBL's mission is to provide highly competitive basketball for women. The competition level ranges from former college players to former NWBL/WNBA players and current international players. In addition, the WBCBL has built a networking relationship with professional international basketball scouts and agents to broaden the possibility of higher-level jobs being offered.
Since 2005, the WBCBL/WBBS have assisted hundreds of players in their pursuit of professional careers in basketball here in the U.S. and internationally. We are excited to be able to extend the opportunity to more women this year!
Who is eligible to participate? Any young lady who is at least 20 years old (by May 1st), without any collegiate eligibility remaining and has the skill and desire to continue her playing career at the professional level

Director of Marketing for the WBCBL, Jade Tinner and Brand Consultant partner Kandi Conda, spent this past Friday as guest speakers at the annual Women of Color Leadership Conference. The WOCLC is held at the University of Missouri Kansas City, which is Ms. Tinner's alma mater. With both the WBCBL and the WOCLC celebrating 10 years of success and growth, this was a significant occasion for these women to be apart of.
While the keynote speaker, Lacey Schwartz, spoke about her amazing journey and recent documentary, Ms. Tinner and Ms. Konda led a dynamic session on sports and entrepreneurship. The attendees where engaged and curious to find out ways to take their business to the next level. Ms. Conda is and expert on taking control of your life and branding yourself to be a success, which she spoke about during her presentation. There were several women inquiring about life after sports, and Ms. Tinner led the discussion with positive and encouraging words. Positive feed back from the attendees have vetted these women to be invited back to the 2016 WOCLC.

Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte Invasion Women's Developmental Basketball Team will host OC Foundation Day on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center in Charlotte to help raise awareness for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in athletes, adults and kids alike. Omar Carter of the OC Foundation will be speaking during half time of the game where the undefeated, top ranked Charlotte Invasion will take on the Winston Salem Lady Warcats! Omar Carter suffered from SCA in 2013. Since that time, he has opened the doors of the OC Foundation to raise awareness and provide Compression Only CPR demonstrations to kids and athletes in the Charlotte community and beyond. According to the Heart Rhythm Society, SCA occurs when the heart stops beating, which results in a stoppage of blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. The condition results in more than 350,000 deaths each year and claims more lives than breast cancer, lung cancer or AIDS.

Omar will also speak about the upcoming Heart of Gold All-Star Weekend that will take place June 19-20, 2015 and will combine celebrity appearances with education and networking.
