Three teams, One organization, One common goal, to help St. Phillips Episcopal Church located in Jacksonville, Florida get ready for its 135th Anniversary. The players from the Jacksonville Beach Lady Panthers, the Jacksonville Lady Tigers, and the Ocala Lady Bobcats gathered together to help St. Phillips clean, shine brass, wipe down pews, set-up the reception hall, and numerous other tasks in preparation of celebrating 135 years of existence. Father Hugh Chapman Rector of the church welcomed the assistance with open arms, and was pleasantly entertained by the young ladies and their singing skills, personalities, and their re-enactment of praise dances to say the least. It is my goal as founder of S.W.A.A.G. (Sisters With Aptitude, Attitude, & Game) to not only achieve their basketball goals, but also to get them to see the importance of giving back to the people and communities that support them. St. Phillips is a church with largely an older congregation and they often are not able to put the TLC needed in routine up keep and maintenance of the church. Therefore, as owner of the organization, I felt that it would be the perfect bonding activity as well the perfect community service project. La Schelle Brown / Owner S.W.A.A.G. EMPIRE, INC.
