Dominique Simmons has been a very important piece on and off the court for the San Antonio Crusaders. With her personalty, hard working ethics, and dedication to the game and her team, she has proven to be a force to reckon with.
The San Antonio Crusaders are in their second-season and is the only undefeated team left in the WBCBL. Dominique Simmons has been a big part of that with her contributions on the court.
This past Saturday was her last game this season with the Crusaders. She will be leaving this week to fly to Africa to do two of the things she loves to do the most, spread the love of Christ and play basketball, which is the foundation that the WBCBL was founded on. The picture you see is just a glimpse of how opponents respected her dominance. So what record could she have tied? She is tied with Layla McCray for the most double-doubles (8) in a regular season. It's been a honored and a blessing to have her as a part of the San Antonio Crusaders organization. Not only do the Crusaders organization appreciate her but all the fans communities, the city of San Antonio, Austin, and surrounding areas do as well. For those who never seen her play, here are her stats for the season. She is #1 in field goals made and is #2 for total points.

Field Goal %- 70%
Free Throw %- 65%
Rebounds Per Game- 11.1

National Champions Partnering with The OC Charity
To Bring SCA Awareness to the Charlotte Community
Charlotte, N.C. - Charlotte Invasion is more than just a national championship basketball team. This hometown team is focused on mobilizing players to become community resource ambassadors in addition to champions! The 2016 season has proven to be the most exciting yet as they embark on new partnerships with organizations throughout Charlotte. The belief that being a champion is a way of life is integral in the Charlotte Invasion organization.
The Omar Carter Charity is committed to raising awareness to help the public become more familiar with what Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is, how it affects people, and how we can equip them with the training possible to save lives. Although October is officially Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month, the OC Charity raises awareness all year long. They utilize partnerships to host events that engage the community in cardiovascular health issues making it possible and convenient to learn CPR, obtain free physicals, and have access to blood pressure checks.
Charlotte Invasion and The OC Charity will come together once again to teach Compression Only CPR to the Charlotte community during halftime of the Saturday, July 9th Charlotte Invasion game against the Virginia Lady Warriors. The mission of these two organizations collide in awareness, education and promotion of maintaining a heart healthy lifestyle.
